The HISTORY OF ADLAI STEVENSON II IS WORTH READING; HE WAS THE GREATEST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE THE PEOPLE NEVER ELECTED! GOD BLESS HIS MEMORY!

The first time I voted for President in a Presidential Election, I voted for Adlai Stevenson II and against General Ike Eisenhower; and, I cried when Stevenson lost, because Adlai Stevenson II was the greatest President America did not elect! Stevenson said of the election, “I’m too old to cry, and it hurts too much to laugh!”

Some of Stevenson’s other great quotes, extremely important today, are: “In America anyone can be President and that is one of the risks that you have to take.”

“I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Republican friends… that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them.”

“There are worse things than losing an election; the worst thing is to lose one’s convictions and not tell the people the truth.”

“Public confidence in the integrity of the Government is indispensable to faith in democracy; and when we lose faith in the system, we have lost faith in everything we fight and spend for.”

Adlai Stevenson II lived on to be a great American hero, yet no one appears to even remember today but, Adlai is still my greatest political hero!
