AMERICANS VOTING WITH THEIR CONSCIENCE IN 2016; HILLARY AND MY CONSCIENCE!

Today, I’m reading, “Dear Hillary, How Dare You”, by Dr. Rex, SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR ALL: https://www.bing.com/search?q=hulshofschmidt.wordpress.com%2F2016%2F08%2F01%2Fdear-hillary-how-very-dare-you&form=EDGEAR&qs=PF&cvid=df190e806eee43e7859b0be66ee2e0d9&pq=hulshofschmidt.wordpress.com%2F2016%2F08%2F01%2Fdear-hillary-how-very-dare-you

As for me, I have to disagree whole heartedly with Dr. Rex and “Dear Hillary: How Very Dare You!”

Personally, I would like to make it clear that I do not hate Hillary Clinton, the fact is that I do not hate anyone including W. Bush and Genghis Khan; the reason is selfishness on my part, I learned at an early age that actually hating someone makes you miserable, and makes the person you want to hate, happy, because they made you miserable. My mother taught me that.

My mother was a very smart and strong person; she also taught me to respect women, even if they do not respect you as a man. Mom had all the attributes I would like to see in my President and I would vote for her for President, today.

Further, I have always wanted to see a woman elected President of the United States and, the reason why is because women bring to the table certain typical feminine attributes that all men do not commonly possess. For example history shows women to be peacemakers, as opposed to men favoring war and violent solutions. For me, peacemaking is essential for my American President.

IRAQ WAR CEMETARY
And, I cannot with a clear conscience support Hillary Clinton for my President; however, I respect her as a woman, but she has proven to be a war hawk and not a peacemaker.

In 2002, as Senator Clinton, Hillary voted with Republican Senators for W. Bush’s Iraq Invasion Resolution, which I consider the worse mistake in American History, and led to the horrible conditions existing in the world today; she defended her position of voting for the Iraq invasion until 2015, at the time she began her Presidential run, when she confided “probably invading Iraq was not a good idea”. And, personally, I vehemently oppose the invasion of Iraq in 2002.

Further, the invasion of Iraq, was what the Republican PNAC (Project for the New American Century), had demanded Hillary’s husband do, during President Bill Clinton’s Presidency, and he refused.

Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State for 4 years in the Obama Administration; in those 4 years I saw no great effort made to secure peace between Israel and the Palestinians, and I saw the situation worsen in the Mideast, and relations with Russia deteriorated.

When the peace treaty between America, France, Germany, China, Russia, the UN, with Iran was approved, while Sec. Clinton was no longer Secretary of State, but instead a candidate for President, she approve of the treaty only with a condition; former Secretary of State Clinton said, “When I am President, I will not take attacking Iran off the table”. That comment was detrimental to President Obama’s peace efforts.

For me, War and Peace is the major issue of any Presidential election; therefore, I cannot with a clear conscience, support Sec. Clinton for President of the United States for that reason.

Another attribute I expect from a Presidential candidate is trustworthiness. Do you trust your President to tell the truth?

Sec. Clinton’s lied about her and Chelsea dodging sniper bullets while running from their airplane to the airport terminal at the Bosnia Airport, it was an admitted lie of Clinton’s that bothers me most. “Clinton ‘Misspoke’ About Bosnia Trip, Campaign Says” http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/03/24/clinton-misspoke-about-bosnia-trip-campaign-says/?_r=0

As for me, I was appalled, that Hillary would tell such a little lie, admit to it and saying it was of no significance, and then think nothing of it since the lie was only for Hillary’s own aggrandizement and nothing else.

For me, such a lie is damning. As President, a President must at times take liberty with truth for national security reasons; that is easily forgivable. However for me, it is unforgiveable for a Presidential candidate or anyone else, to tell a deliberate lie, only for their own aggrandizement. There is a lot of this going on in the 2016 election, of course.

Therefore, for me, the two essentials for a Presidential candidate is advocating peace rather than war, and trustworthiness; and unfortunately, Hillary fails the test for me, as does Donald Trump.

Admittedly, I also fervently oppose Hillary Clinton’s political and philosophical differences from mine; I am liberal progressive and Hillary is self-confessed “moderate” centrist and philosophically Hillary tends to the “Idealist School”, whereas I am “Pragmatist”.

It appears to me that Sec. Clinton has made the 2016 primary issues feminism, the Clinton name, and her experience as Senator and Secretary of State! I presume Hillary achieve her political offices, by virtue of the Clinton name.

As I said previously, my opposition to Sec. Clinton’s Presidency is dictated by my conscience; and, I know that no Presidential candidate is perfect, I do not Hate Sec. Clinton, but I simply have no viable candidate to vote for in 2016!
