Today, I’m reading Republican Speaker Paul Ryan’s, “Republican Party Newsletter”.

Of course I became deeply disturbed by some of Paul Ryan’s words.

In Speaker Paul Ryan’s newsletter, he wrote: “We are the Easter People”, March 27, 2016: http://spkrryan.us/1LKrchv

“Today is Easter Sunday, a joyful day of redemption, but when we look at the state of the world, there is reason for fear and anxiety.

“On Tuesday, ISIS, the radical Islamic terrorist group, committed harrowing acts of terror, killing dozens of innocent people in Brussels at the very heart of Western Europe.

“In Iraq and Syria, ISIS has been committing systematic, targeted attacks against Christians and other ethnic and religious minorities. Last week, our government finally called these atrocities what they are: a genocide.

“As the United States and our allies are confronted with evil, let us heed the words of former Pope John Paul II, “Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.”

“We will not give up. We will stand with our allies. We will defeat terror.”

Personally, there are some things that I dislike about both political parties, Democrats and Republicans; this Republican Newsletter sent to me is one thing about the Republican Party that I cannot help but criticize.

It would appear to me that Jesus Christ said, “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and render unto God, that which is God’s” and our U.S. Constitution says basically the same thing, “Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .“ To me, that is excellent thinking derived from two very different sources. America’s First Amendment is considered the “Separation of Church and State Amendment”, according to Thomas Jefferson and not God.

Therefore as for me, I abhor having American politicians, and in this case the leading Republican, “using” a Christian religious holiday and Christianity itself, for political purposes.

Personally, my religions is private and I never would “use” my God.

Politically, I am required to register as a Democrat, in order to vote in the Democratic Party primary, but otherwise, I do not consider myself deeply committed to the Democratic Party Establishment, with whom I totally disagree, on many issues.

However, I will say that I cannot think of a time when Democrats “used” Christianity; however, it appears to me that the Republicans continuously “use Christianity and the Christian Church” for political purpose and have also been known to “use the Jewish faith” for political purposes, and presently continuously show hatred for and condemn mothers, fathers, and children of the Muslim faith throughout the world, including American Muslims”, for Republican’s own political purposes.

Republicans deeply offend me personally, and as an American; and, I haven’t voted for a Republican candidate since the “Good Old Days” (admittedly, I have at times voted a split ticket).

In America, we pride ourselves for enjoying liberty, including the Freedom of Speech; however, there are according to the U.S. Supreme Court, limitations on American’s Freedom of Speech, for example “Shouting fire in a crowded theater” would not be Constitutionally protected according to the court.

Personally, I consider shouting “All Muslims are terrorists”, is legally the same as “Shouting fire in a crowded theater”!

In 1954, America pass federal legislation, the Communist Control Act (68 Stat. 775, 50 U.S.C. 841-844) making the Communist Party illegal in America, ostensibly for shouting “Communists, arise and takeover the American Government!” Communist speech was not considered free speech; need I remind you that 2016 is an election year and the Republicans would very much like to “take over the American government” in the name of Christianity, in condemnation of the Muslim faith, and making threats to all of the people including Americans, of the Muslim faith. Just perhaps, we should consider making the Republican party illegal in America!

And today, Donald Trump is the leading Republican Candidate.

Very frankly, I am sick and tired of politics and Republicans, the political imposing of Christianity on non-Christian American citizens, and lying and condemning all Muslims for being Terrorists; actually, I’m sick of American politics and the “buying of candidates and elections”, as well.

After looking at all of the candidates in 2016, there is only one candidate that I can actually conscientiously support; and typically, that candidate is a Democratic Party candidate that both Republicans and the standard Democratic Party Establishment disavows; it is Bernie Sanders, of course.

Mr. Sanders among other things, is a Jew, and America has never had a President of the Jewish Faith (I am not Jewish, personally), who is also a liberal progressive with an impeccable lifetime liberal progressive political record of: opposing racism, opposing mixing religion with politics, opposing the inequity of income in America, and opposing elections and political favors being bought by the wealthy and Wall Street, and Sanders consistently represents the interests of America’s working Middle Class and Poor.

Bernie has been viciously condemned by both Republican and Democratic Parties as being a Communist because he believes in the U.S. Post Office, being a revolutionary because he wants a bloodless revolution to restore democracy in American, and Bernie is condemned as not being a Democrat by the Democratic Party DC Establishment. Consequently my conclusion is and only can be that therefore, Bernie Sanders must be the best damn candidate for President of the United States in 2016!

And in conclusion, I would remind Republican Speaker Paul Ryan that Pope John Paul II is no longer the Pope, and Pope Francis is now the leader of Catholicism; Pope Francis, I feel confident, would tend to agree with me more than Speaker Ryan and Pope Paul II, and “God only knows why”!
