IT IS URGENT, THAT AMERICAN VOTERS AND WORKING MIDDLE CLASS AND POOR REALIZE THEIR EXISTANCE AND ECONOMY IS BEING COMPRIMISED POLITICALLY, AND HOW AND WHY!

Tuesday, November 27th, 2018

Americans, as a People are not stupid; they are however most often made stupid, for the sole purpose of providing Corporate America with the means to make huge amounts of profits, at labor’s expense.

And in America today, the American People are simply and deliberately indoctrinated in stupidity intentionally, for the benefit of corporate profits.

Take my word for it, I have lived in different cultures and I can tell you that capitalism is different in America, than in other cultures. And Capitalism is different in different circumstances within America!

We Americans are taught that out democracy is “good” for the People! It is! However, democracy can be misused to the advantage of certain elements of our society. And, basically Americans need to understand how their human rights can be misused.

For example, in our American democracy, the People vote and a majority wins, and we believe a majority represents the People. However, if the minority of wealthy Americans and wealthy Corporations are allowed to use their wealth to decide elections, elections no longer represent the working Americans. Voting and majority rule no longer represents the People, voting represents the wealthy.

If voting and majority rule represents the people, does that mean voting does not represent the minority in any way? In our U.S. Constitution, our founders believed that the Bill of Rights protected the Rights of the voting minority.

Hence, America’s Constitutional Bill of Rights exists to provide protection for the minority of American voters!

But, a problem exists in America, when Constitutional voting and/or the Constitutional Bill of Rights are deliberately misused to the advantage of one particular segment of the population.

U.S. Constitutional Voting and Civil Rights must be “controlled” by government to accomplish their specific purpose! And, Americans need to be taught the actual purpose of our Constitution. Unfortunately, too many of our voters are not aware of the specific purposes of our democratic Constitution.

Some elements (the John Birch Society, for example) of our American society would have Americans believe that our Constitution was never meant to make America a democracy! John Birch Society Blue Book, p.124 ” . . . democracy is merely a deceptive phrase, a weapon of demagoguery, and a perennial fraud.” (Continued in Footnote 25, p. 136.) “Our founding fathers . . . visibly spurned a democracy as probably the worst of all forms of government.”

Unfortunately, the John Birch Society has become a player in recent politics; the John Birch Society, Koch brothers, financed the Republican “Tea Party”, and the “Tea Party”, as a front group for the John Birch Society, won both Houses of Congress in 2014, and have had a debilitating influence on our government since then, and now especially with the “Electoral College” win of the Presidency in 2016 by President Trump, and evidence of Russian hacking in the election, America has a President elected by a minority of American voters and perhaps a foreign government.

Another huge factor in American economy, occurred in 2010, when the U.S. Republican majority of the U.S. Supreme Court decided by a 5-4 decision, “Citizens United”, providing that the law establishing legal limits on political contributions by corporations, was illegal.

Since 2010 it is obvious that American political candidates and elections have been actually “bought” by Corporate America and Congressional Districts have be gerrymandered by another John Birch Society “front group”, financed by the John Birch Society Koch brothers, a nonprofit corporation, the American Legislative Exchange Council, ALEC.

America’s government and economy are in a crisis today.

So, obviously and unfortunately, some elements of our American democracy have had a very bad influence on American law and our “capitalistic economy”. And unfortunately, American workers today are uninformed and their rights and income are being taken from them, by “bad law”, and a bad Congress.

Voters need to understand some basics of any capitalistic economy. For example, wealth cannot create products or services, and only labor can actually create products or services.

Further, capitalism is based upon competition, however production is based upon cooperation of capital and labor!

Capitalism only works efficiently when “collective bargaining” takes place between employer and employees; and the essence of collective bargaining is that there should not be winners and losers, but instead simply “agreement” between workers and management on wages and working conditions.

It is essential that labor and management are not construed as “enemies”; because after collective agreement, they work for the same purpose, the success of their collective business enterprise!

Collective bargaining (formal or informal) is essential in a capitalistic economy; without it, the economy reverts to a period in history when no middle class existed, there were only the wealthy and the peasants!

In our American capitalistic economy today, the People have forgotten the past history of economics. The American economy is facing a crisis, and unfortunately, American politicians are ignorant and too often biased.

Today America faces the problem of “inequity in Incomes”; the wealthy are getting more of the wealth and the working Middle Class and poor are suffering from lower average wages and higher prices!

The American inequity of income problem is evident, known, and a national problem, but politicians have ignored it. The result is that the wealthier are getting even wealthier, the Middle Class is diminishing, and Americans living at the poverty level is increasing drastically.

America since the 2016 election is having a very evident government political crisis that is so bad that the people are not even aware of the economic crisis Americans are facing. Americans are blinded by the politicians equating the American economy of the condition of the “stock market”!

This is of course, only one person’s assessment of America’s problem today, but I hope it is helpful.

“ARMISTICE DAY” HAS BEEN ELIMINATED! WHY?

Tuesday, November 13th, 2018

As a very old American (88 years old), yesterday I experienced another “Armistice Day”, while my younger (yet very old) friends celebrated Veterans Day. Most Americans today do not recognize “Armistice Day”; they are not even AWARE of what an armistice is.

The name of the holiday for November 11th each year in America, was changed some years ago to “Veteran’s Day”; it is not the same.

When I was young, on the 11th month, the 11th day, and the 11th hour of every year, America experienced “Armistice Day”. Every bell, horn, or whistle was activated followed by a time of silence out of respect for soldiers who died in the horrible catastrophe of World War One.

As a child, I was reminded of war, the First (purportedly the “last”) World War! My uncle Roy died in France in that war. As a child, I was also aware of many “shell shocked” men, who were soldiers and survived that War; these “shell shocked” veterans of World War I were survivors of gas attacks. They were the fathers, uncles, and relatives of my friends; these veterans lived with abnormal behavior the rest of their life, caused by being gassed on the battle front. These “shell shocked” were my concept of what any war was like.

For me, November Eleventh is still Armistice Day. I do not celebrate “Veteran’s Day”, though I a “technically” a Veteran, though “drafted” between wars and never serving in battle. I cannot take my being a “veteran” seriously, though at the time I served my country because I felt obligated make my contribution, protecting my American democracy.

Further, I have relatives that have served in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, my uncle Roy in World War I, my brother Walt in World War II, and my wonderful grandsons Daniel and Andrew who were in combat in Afghanistan.

This Armistice day, I was talking to a good friend of mine who is a “Veteran”, and he had never heard of the worlds “Armistice Day”. I taught him what it was!

Later in the day, I watched in news the President of the United States “celebrating” Armistice Day in Paris France, the historic place where the Armistice was signed. The President of the United States had to be reminded by news reporters that the Armistice of World War I is not “celebrated”, it is observed!

The American President Trump, then decided NOT TO ATTEND the services recognizing the sacrifice of American soldiers in the French graveyard of American soldiers who “liberated” France in WWI; this was the purported purpose of President Trump being in Paris, but since it was raining the American President did not attend, because of the rain. Representatives of all other nations involved in World War II, stood in the rain commemorating those brave Americans who were killed liberating France!

President Trump it seems, was primarily interested in meeting again with Vladimir Putin, dictator of America’s most dangerous enemy, who was in Paris to honor our American soldiers who died to free Paris of its invaders; President Trump has a love for the Russian dictator, who has been proven to have “hacked” America’s 2016 election that President Trump “won”!

Personally, I am having a difficult time, experiencing this American President, Donald Trump, who received 3 million fewer votes of American voters than his opponent, and won the election based on a “pro-slavery” Electoral College Constitutional election device from the year 1787.

My feeling is that my American democracy has been stolen from me.

ONE PARTICULAR PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE AND DEATH; MY OWN!

Monday, November 12th, 2018

My own earliest taste of death, came when I was eleven years old, and Jimmy Slade in my elementary school class drowned in Lake Decatur during summer vacation! I remember it well!

My mother insisted that I attend Jimmy’s funeral; Jimmy was the first “dead person” that I had ever seen.

Jimmy’s death had a great effect on me at age eleven; it forced me to study and decide on a philosophy of life and death. Therefore, at that time I developed a philosophy of life and death that I maintained for my entire life.

After considering my experience dealing with Jimmy’s death, considering biblical concepts, and considering some other’s personal concepts, I decided that when I was born, I was destined to die! I would never know when, or how, and there was absolutely nothing that I could ever do about it!

Therefore, I have never worried about my own death, I have lived each day to the fullest, and have adopted the philosophy that my goal in life would be and is, “happiness” (not pleasure but satisfaction)!

During my life time, I have known many people who have constantly worried about their own death (and their getting into “heaven”)! I sometimes felt their concern about their own death deprived them of much of their happiness during their life!

Whereas for myself, I have tried to simply achieve happiness, love my neighbors, have compassion for my enemies, and eat my carrots and my cake!

As a result of adopting my philosophy of life and death, and after having suffered the death of so many of my loved ones, I found that my loved ones do not die, only their body dies, but my loved ones live on in spirit and my memory; they are always there for me when I need them. And, we communicate in my every thought. I’m constantly aware of their “presence”.

And therefore, as a result, I do not mourn for a long period of time, because my deceased loved ones are always still there for me; I “feel” my deceased loved ones in my memories.

And, I find that I often remember the birthdays of my loved ones, but I never seem to remember their date of death!

In my lifetime, I have dealt with my share of tragedies; but because of my philosophy of life and death, I do not suffer for long periods of time and I have lived a wonderful life! Because no matter what the tragedy, life goes on, and we have no alternative other than suicide or happiness, and I have never, ever considered suicide, nor would I!

Note: My only purpose in posting this life and death philosophy of mine, is my hope that it just might help someone else!
