Ever wonder why we human beings revere mountains?

As for me, I was born in Decatur, Illinois, where the land doesn’t get any flatter that that; it’s there you find longest stretch of railroad laid without a bridge or trestle and longest stretch of highway without a curve in it; that describes my hometown. School teachers could never convince kids in Decatur that the earth was round!

My life’s adventures brought me to San Diego California where the majesty of mountains is exceedingly evident. So, I got sucked into mountain worship, hiking, skiing but not climbing; I have a phobia about heights. My best view of a mountain is from a distance and my worst view of a mountain is over a cliff. I’ve been privy to both views.

But I lived in Switzerland for five years and discovered that the Swiss appeared to love mountains more than anything. And, I spent a lot of time on a great many different mountain summits in Switzerland, and in every single case I saw Swiss worshiping the mountains.

My Swiss wife would get depressed on wintery days of low clouds and no sunshine in Switzerland and she would say, “Let’s go to the mountains today!” We would then do the Julie Andrews ‘Maria thing’, and go to a mountain top to bask in the sunshine; my wife seemed to know every mountain in Switzerland and there are a lot of mountains in Switzerland.

At the mountain summit we always encountered a crowd of Swiss, laughing and enjoying the sun and the feel of a mountain under their feet. It created a comradely of sorts, it was contagious, and I too would be caught up in mountain joy!

When we lived in San Diego and my Swiss wife got homesick she would say, “Let’s go and climb Stonewall Mountain today.”

We both felt better for the experience; and it was amazing how the lunch we packed in our knapsack would actually taste even more delicious, at the altitude of Stonewall Mountain’s summit.

Those are moments from the past that I cherish in memory, when I look back on my life.

Those are joyous words, “Let’s climb a mountain today!” And the price is right!

Today I’m reading, “More Hard Hitting Words From The Dalai Lama About The Mass Brainwashing Of Society”:

Personally, I absolutely agree with these words of the Dali Lama: “War and the large military establishments are the greatest sources of violence in the world.

“Whether their purpose is defensive or offensive, these vast powerful organizations exist solely to kill human beings. We should think carefully about the reality of war.

“Most of us have been conditioned to regard military combat as exciting and glamorous – an opportunity for men to prove their competence and courage.

“Since armies are legal, we feel that war is acceptable; in general, nobody feels that war is criminal or that accepting it is criminal attitude. In fact, we have been brainwashed. War is neither glamorous nor attractive. It is monstrous. Its very nature is one of tragedy and suffering.” The Dali Lama

And it is not just the idolization of military heroes; it is also the hate attitude of politics. There is a litany of extremist Republican Christian terrorist attacks, related to the abortion issue rhetoric of Christian extremists and the Republican Party: Eric Robert Rudolph, Scot Roeder, and now Robert Lewis Dear, the Planned Parenthood terrorist.

Since he has been if office, I have appreciated Presidents Obama’s efforts to try peacefully overcome the problems created by the previous administration’s mass killing of hundreds of thousands of ‘innocent and ordinary’ Mid-Eastern and Muslim People, mothers and fathers and children by American “Carpet Bombing” of Afghanistan and “Shock and Awe” bombing of Iraq that Americans simply appear to find acceptable.

And every time President Obama extends an olive branch to those who suffered from America’s killing of their loved ones, Obama’s political opponents and the American military/industrial complex, accuse him of ‘appeasement’ or worse.

Do you remember the General McChrystal episode?

Do you remember the General Boykin episode?

Actually, scientific evidence to back up the Dali Lama can be found in the book “Trained to Kill” by Theodore Nadelson, MD, dealing with veterans returning from combat; I recommend it.

Today I read, “3 Dead After Gunman Opens Fire Inside Colorado Planned Parenthood”:

There has been a litany of terrorist attacks on women and physicians as a result of the Republican Party’s villainous attacks on Constitutional legal abortion and on responsible Physicians who perform legal abortions for women in need of them.

America extremist Republican Christian terrorists: “Eric Robert Rudolph (born September 19, 1966), also known as the Olympic Park Bomber, is an American terrorist responsible for a series of anti-abortion and anti-gay-motivated bombings across the southern United States between 1996 and 1998, which killed two people and injured over 120 others”

“On May 31, 2009, George Tiller, a physician from Wichita, Kansas, who was nationally known for being one of the few doctors in the United States to perform late-term abortions, was murdered by Scott Roeder. Tiller was killed during a Sunday morning service at his church, Reformation Lutheran Church,[2] where he was serving as an usher. Roeder was arrested within three hours of the shooting and charged with first-degree murder and related crimes two days later. In November 2009, Roeder publicly confessed to the killing, telling the Associated Press that he had shot Tiller because “preborn children’s lives were in imminent danger.”

“A gunman is in custody after an hourslong standoff with police inside a Planned Parenthood clinic. He has been identified as Robert Lewis Dear, 57. Authorities are investigating an hourslong standoff and shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs that left three dead, including an officer.”

Enough is enough; it is time for the Neocon Republicans to take responsibility for their pseudo Christian party line and the havoc it has created for the women and physicians of the United States of America

Republicans have a herd of candidates for the Presidency, all favor depriving women’s Constitutional legal Rights to health care and safe legal abortion; they are all silent on the Planned Parenthood killings.

The Republican Party is no longer the Grand Old Party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Earl Warren; today it has become an extremist Christian religious cult wreaking havoc with women’s health care in the United States of America and inciting extremist Christian terrorism; it is time to stop it!

The American People have to stand up to this destruction of American women’s Rights to adequate and reliable health care. Denying women’s Rights should be a crime against humanity. It is time for Republicans to stop persecuting women!

Let me explain here, my politics, my philosophy of life, and my reasoning for it?

When I was growing up, Americans could not vote or drink beer until they were 21 years of age. And, before I was age twenty-one I had never been without a job since I was 14 years old, I drank beer with no consequences only because my best friend was 21 years old and could buy our beer for us, and at eighteen I was drafted into the U.S. Air Force and was already a veteran at age twenty, but still, I had never been allowed to vote for a President.

It occurred to me that children under the age of twenty-one years of age were considered inferior to every other American over the age of twenty-one, and I considered that legally and morally inequitable and an injustice.

As a result, I have always considered children, including adolescents, to be my own equal and not in any way inferior to me or any other adults. Unfortunately, I have found my respect for children is a minority opinion in America and especially in the public schools, where I taught school.

However, I knew about politics ever since I was born and, I cannot possibly separate my politics from my own philosophy of life. Politics reflects society, and society reflects a huge number of different philosophies of life; and in a democracy like the United States of America, there are no wrong ‘legal’ philosophies of life.

On Election Day in 1930, my mother was pregnant with me, my mother was in labor at home, and my father was at the polls casting his vote on April 8, 1930, in Decatur Illinois; my mother was not pleased by my father taking time to vote, on his way home from work prior to taking her to the delivery room at St. Mary’s Hospital to deliver me to the world. Politics played a part in my entry into this world.

So, I was born in America, during prohibition, at the beginning of the Great Depression, and I lived through the Great Depression and World War II as well.

At home, my family taught me that I would always be an employee of someone else, throughout my entire life, and I would always be totally dependent on an employer for my own and my family’s very existence; consequently, what I needed to learn most in life, was how to be the best kind of an employee, keep on good terms with my employer, and I needed to vote for the political candidate who best represent the American worker’s interests.

Basically, I was taught that the Democratic Party in that era, with all it warts and faults, came closest to representing the working Middle Class and Poor voters; but not always.

My parents graciously allowed me to decide my own fate; they taught me about, but did not indoctrinate me, in any particular beliefs or politics, and they allowed me to choose my own politics, religion, and life style.

And thus it is that I have always voted for the candidate and not the political party, but I always registered as a Democrat in order to be able to vote in the Democratic Primary Elections because the Democratic Party of my era tended to most diligently represent Labor.

Politically, I have always had a clear conscience, but I have not always approved of some of my elected candidate’s behavior and decisions, on every issue. Specifically, because of my place in life and my American society, I believe in democracy, the necessity of organized Labor, and I oppose war in general.

For another example of my politics, I am not a pacifist but I oppose and protest any offensive wars, where the United States of America and my loved ones are not threatened, no matter who is President or what political party they represent; I support a foreign policy of compassion and respect for other Peoples and other sovereign States, in despite of the behavior of their leaders.

Personally, I lived through WWII, in which my brother and cousins served valiantly in combat. God was merciful, my prayers answered, and they all lived to return home; unfortunately, not all my friends and acquaintances survived WWII, or all of America’s wars since then.

And, I believe that World War II was a moral war and the United States of America was morally correct in fighting in that war; I also believe America was morally correct in showing compassion for our former enemies after the war’s end. I’m proud of America’s bravery and compassion in World War II.

Historically, I have had ancestors that fought in every American war including the Revolutionary War; I’m proud of that and I was proud and felt morally obligated to serve my country in peacetime during America’s need for a conscripted military.

My life has been spent primarily working as a public school teacher, studying and teaching American History, including Labor History and Constitutional legal history; therefore, politics has been a part of my life.

Further, during my lifetime, I have made it my personal philosophical belief to never hate anyone, and have compassion for everyone. Because of this philosophy, I have led a happy and contented life and at the same time, I have vehemently defended my principles and my loved ones against any one, any politicians, any enemies of the State, and any form of prejudice, hate, or sadistic behavior. My philosophy on hate includes the fact that hatred is unproductive, it creates misery for those who hate, and hate has no beneficial consequence.

Basically, I have always tried to tell the truth or say nothing at all; that rule has served me well. I really have seldom ever had to lie, except when my wife asked me, “Does this dress make me look fat?”

Admittedly, I have made mistakes in life, and have been wrong at times; and for the sake of my psyche, I have discovered that when I realize I have done something wrong or made a mistake, it is to my advantage to admit it, make every effort to correct it, and apologize to those I have offended when that is all else I can do. Then life goes on, I make no attempt to try to forget it, I remember it, but since there is nothing more I can do, it does not prey on my mind, my guilt is mitigated.

However I have had, and believe that I have through no fault of my own created a number of enemies in my long life; further I seriously believe that if you lead a successful, productive, and creative life, it is natural that you will create some enemies, though not everyone agrees with me on that concept.

And, I have and I will continuously vilify enemies of the People, or enemies of my democratic Republic, or enemies of my loved ones, but I have no intention, need, or purpose in vilifying personal enemies; that is not be beneficial to me.

So basically, that is how I live, love, keep content, stay happy, and vote.

A man once said of me, “Dick Blankenburg wears his heart on his sleeve.” His remark did not appear to be offensive to me.

Today I read, “Bernie Sanders’s refreshingly sane foreign policy”:

Today, ISIS is on the minds of Americans, Parisians, and the world. World leaders appear totally confused and unable to intelligently respond to the threat of ISIS Terrorists.

Therefore, I was absolutely and totally impressed with Bernie Sanders response to the ISIS threat; it is the ONLY response that I consider sane, intelligent, just, and right; here is the quote from Bernie, in regard to what his response to ISIS is:

“Our response must begin with an understanding of past mistakes and missteps in our previous approaches to foreign policy. It begins with the acknowledgement that unilateral military action should be a last resort…and that ill-conceived military decisions, such as the invasion of Iraq, can wreak far-reaching devastation and destabilize entire regions for decades. It begins with the reflection that the failed policy decisions of the past – rushing to war, regime change in Iraq, or toppling Mossadegh in Iran in 1953, or Guatemalan President Arbenz in 1954, Brazilian President Goulart in 1964, Chilean President Allende in 1973. These are the sort of policies that do not work, do not make us safer, and must not be repeated.”

Though I have long since decided that Bernie Sanders is the candidate that I will support to be President of the United States of America, this quotation cinched it; I cannot with a clear conscience support any other candidate in the running. And, I cannot support any candidate who approved and/or voted for the Iraq Invasion Resolution, there are no excuses; I would not have voted for it, how can I support someone who did?

My feeling in regard to eliminating ISIS, is the same as my concept of how to make peace with Iran, and how to make peace with terrorists around the world, and how create Peace in the World; for America, it should start with apologies.

Making apologies for mistakes is how I was brought up in this world by my family; when you make a mistake, admit it, then try to correct it, and if it cannot be corrected, apologize. If your apology is not accepted, recognize that is all that you can possibly now do, and look to the future with a CLEAR CONSCIENCE.

If I have any sense of pride in my own life, it was established by my making apologies for those things that I did that was wrong; if I am to have any pride in my nation, it will have to be because my nation admitted its mistakes, tried to correct them, and apologized when that is all that could be done.

My conscience dictates my vote for Bernie Sanders.

Today I am reading, “Lawrence O’Donnell Blasts TV Media For Not Calling Donald Trump A Liar”:

The American main-stream media lie and misrepresent news with impunity every day of the year; American media are that way for a reason and news is not unreliable that way in other nations in the world. Censored and unreliable news is basically American news.

In America, News media does not compete for customers, news media has a monopoly and media profits come from corporate advertising, and consequently they don’t need to satisfy their customers (audience) with truth and integrity. American news is biased toward the benefit of corporate American because the media is owned by corporate America and their profits are generated from corporate America advertising and not the customers who are normally loyal, unsuspecting working Middle Class and Poor Americans.

Corporate news media in America today, do not go into the news business to provide Americans the most reliable news possible, corporate America news media go into business for only one reason, to made the most profits possible by printing or broadcasting what they consider “news” and benefit from the power of the press.

To make matters worse, the media has the privilege of lying and misrepresenting by virtue of the first Amendment of the Constitution which includes “freedom” of the press, which was written by our forefathers in an entirely different context in 1787. Freedom of the press consists of 4 words, “and of the press”.

Freedom of the press was originally written for village newspapers owned by one person who owned only one newspaper that existed in only one village in 1787, to protect the newspapers from corrupt political enemies. Today, newspapers and TV networks and stations are ALL owned by a very few corporate conglomerates; these corporate conglomerates control, operate, edit and censor almost all of news in America with impunity and this makes them extremely powerful and allows them to control the audience’s mind; this is not true in other nations of the world, where news media competes with other news media to provide the most reliable news possible.

Corporate news media in America today, do not go into the news business to provide Americans the most reliable news possible, corporate America news media goes into business for only one reason, to made the most profits possible by printing or broadcasting what they consider “the news”.

Our Constitutional forefathers would be appalled at the way that our American so-called “Freedom of the Press” is misused today.

Personally, I lived in Europe 2000 to 2005 and learned American news media could not be trusted and was thoroughly ashamed, embarrassed, appalled, and distraught by the lies and misrepresentations of the American mainstream news media during those troubled times. Americans I discovered, were totally and dangerously misinformed by the news media!

Read it and weep America, and if you want the truth in news, go to a foreign news source.

Today I’ Reading, “Hillary Clinton Vows To Stop Calling Undocumented Immigrants ‘Illegals’:

Hillary should be calling “illegal employers” who hire undocumented immigrants, “Illegals”.

Let us get our criminals straight here; employers who hire undocumented immigrants are profiting from breaking the law and they should go to prison. Their crime is beneficial to them, enhancing their profits, and detrimental to the U.S.A., workers, and all Americans. Shame of them.

Illegal employers increase their profits by much more with their crime, than they pay in paltry ‘fines’; they pay the fine and go out and immediately hire another undocumented worker.

These illegal employer criminals also oppose a national citizen’s identification system which would eliminate hiring undocumented workers and also resolve the “Immigration” issue, voter ID, and the Constitutional (Article I, Section 2.) requirement of a census every ten years. Americans are brainwashed to oppose a national citizens Identification system, by ‘deceitful politicians’ claiming it would destroy the People’s ‘privacy’, which is nonsense. America is behind the times and suffering because of it. Most civilized Western nations have national citizens Identification; only America does not.

Any American who perceives an immigration ‘problem’ should favor a national identification system.

The United States of America should know who their citizens are, where they live, and who their children are. This is the same information collected by the Constitutional Census every ten years, in which too many citizens cheat, thinking to protect their “privacy”. Americans are not entitled to privacy from their government; it is imperative that a government know who its citizens are, where they live, who they are married to, and who their children are; the government should also know who their resident aliens are and which are approved to work in America.

There is no legal, logical reason for America not having a national Identification system. Social Security and Driver’s Licenses are NOT a Citizens Identification System.

Hillary should be in favor of a ‘U.S. National Identification System’, it would be beneficial for the People, eliminate immigration problems and undocumented immigrants taking U.S. Workers jobs, eliminate voter fraud, and provide an accurate Constitutional census for determining Congressional representation. Hillary, Bernie, all Republican candidates, and every Presidential candidate should be for a national identification system; unfortunately, they are not.

Today I am reading about, “How ISIS Is An Apocalyptic Cult, And What That Means”:

There were a lot of bad things about Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, but the only good thing about Saddam, was that he was secular, he maintained control of Iraq with an iron hand, he forbid religious war, and he actually protected Christians, for the obvious selfish reason, to avoid provoking the Western Christian World.

And, I lived in Europe from 2000 to 2005; and before W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq in 2003, Iraqis who said they deplored Saddam’s brutality and had suffered from it, would come on European television and plead with the U.S.A. NOT to invade Iraq and NOT to depose Saddam because they said it would lead to ‘a blood bath like the world had never seen’.

The European TV commentators would then issue this statement, “This video will not be shown on TV in the U.S.A.”

It is important to remember that Europe, other than the UK, like Germany, France, and Spain, refused to join America and to take any part in the invasion of Iraq!

For the last 12 years, I have thought of this almost every day. It was cause for the world to weep for Iraqis and Americans alike.

And those of us who opposed the Invasion of Iraq were considered traitors and unpatriotic; the American People chose to believe the politicians like Bill Kristal, Jeb Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld and the “Project for the New American Century”, who wrote to President Clinton during his Administration, asking him to invade Iraq and, the PNAC were planning to invade Iraq even before W. Bush and Cheney took office in 2001. The PNAC orchestrated the Invasion of Iraq for the benefit of Corporate America’s foreign investments and oil.

This is NOT my opinion; this is history, read it for yourself!

The tragic invasion of Iraq, deposing and executing Saddam Hussein, created ISIS; there is no viable means for eliminating ISIS. Despite their claim to be a State, ISIS is not a State: ISIS is individual criminal Terrorists with a common enemy, using religion as an excuse, and you cannot fight a war against terrorist criminals. Technically, ISIS is simply replacing the ‘Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party’of Saddam.

ISIS are criminals and there is no State to sue for peace and end a war. ISIS is simply individual criminal terrorists, bound together by a religious Islamic style cult that is not even Muslim in character, it is purely political.

Police and detectives eliminate criminals, armies are not for policing criminal activity; police not armies apprehended Lee Harvey Oswald, Timothy McVeigh, and Scott Roeder. An army can only proclaim martial law to protect against mass criminal activity.

This is something for Americans to ponder. Be very careful what you wish for!

Friday, November 20th, 2015

Today’s realm of terrorism, hatred, sadistic destruction of life, society, and civilization itself appears to emanate from the throes of the Iraq War and the regime change in Iraq and deposing of (execution) Iraq’s Saddam Hussein. For convenience, here is a short summary of facts from that war, ‘lest we forget’ (sources for fact provided).

In 2003, America invaded Iraq, deposed Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein was captured by American troops and handed over to Iraqi opponents who executed him.

The results of the war and deposing of Saddam, changed the world and is still the primary factor for turmoil in the Mid-East and terrorism all over the world today.

Prior to the Invasion of Iraq in 2003, America briefly invaded Iraq in 1991 in the Desert Shield War; then in 2001, the Saudi Arabian terrorist bin Laden made a heinous attack on the United States in retaliation for the presence of US Troops being stationed in Saudi Arabia and defiling the Saudi Arabian Muslim Holy Land.

“Since Saudi Arabia houses the holiest sites in Islam (Mecca and Medina), many Muslims were outraged at the permanent presence of non-Muslim U.S., British and French military personnel. The continued presence of U.S. troops after the Gulf War in Saudi Arabia was also one of the stated motivations behind the September 11th terrorist attacks and the Khobar Towers bombing. The date of the 1998 United States embassy bombings was eight years to the day (August 7) that American troops were sent to Saudi Arabia. Bin Laden interpreted the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, as banning the “permanent presence of infidels in Arabia”.

Unfortunately, this religious conflict led to all Mid Eastern wars and terrorism becoming religious wars which persists today, with Christians, Jews, and Muslims making religious claims and publicly condemning against each other.

“The rationale for the Iraq War (i.e. the 2003 invasion of Iraq and subsequent hostilities) has been a contentious issue since the Bush administration began actively pressing for military intervention in Iraq in late 2001. The primary rationalization for the Iraq War was articulated by a joint resolution of the U.S. Congress known as the Iraq Resolution.

“The U.S. stated that the intent was to remove “a regime that developed and used weapons of mass destruction, that harbored and supported terrorists, committed outrageous human rights abuses, and defied the just demands of the United Nations and the world.”

The Congressional vote IN 2002 for President W. Bush’s ‘Iraq invasion Resolution’:
In the House of Representatives: Republicans 215 ayes, 6 nays, 2 abstain; Democrats, 82 ayes, 126 nays, 1 abstain; Independents 0 ayes, 1 nay; Total 297 ayes, 133 nays.

In the Senate: Republicans 48 ayes, 1 nay; Democrats 29 aye, 21 nays; Independents 0 ayes, 1 nays; Total 77 ayes, 23nays.

A total of 4,491 U.S. service members were killed in Iraq between 2003 and 2014,
As of 24 February 2009, there were 318 deaths from the armed forces of other Coalition nations. 179 UK deaths and 139 deaths from other nations. Breakdown:
Various scientific surveys of Iraqi deaths resulting from the first four years of the Iraq War estimated that between 151,000 to over one million Iraqis died as a result of conflict during this time. A later study, published in 2011, estimated that approximately 500,000 Iraqis had died as a result of the conflict since the invasion. Counts of deaths reported in newspapers collated by projects like the Iraq Body Count project found 174,000 Iraqis reported killed between 2003 and 2013, with between 112,000-123,000 of those killed being civilian noncombatants.

The War on Terror of President G. W. Bush
“Conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan following September 11, 2001 — collectively known as the War on Terror — cost the U.S. more than $1.6 trillion through 2010. The U.S. entered Afghanistan in October 2001, to search for Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C., and to overthrow the Taliban government, which was long suspected of harboring terrorists. U.S. troops invaded Iraq and overthrew Saddam Hussein in 2003 operating on the belief that he had weapons of mass destruction. Elections in both Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as training military personnel in each country to help stabilize the region, are both heralded as successes. Despite these successes, both countries continue to be marred by conflict.”

Though the Iraq officially ended in 2012, there is still no peace within Iraq, civil war ensues between religious groups, and a new world terrorism group that threatens to cause havoc world wide, ISIS, or ISIL:

“The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL; Arabic: الدولة الإسلامية في العراق والشام‎), also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS, /ˈaɪsɨs/), the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham, Daesh, or simply Islamic State (IS), is a Wahhabi/Salafi jihadist extremist militant group, self-proclaimed to be a caliphate and Islamic state. It is led by and mainly composed of Sunni Arabs from Iraq and Syria. As of March 2015, it has control over territory occupied by 10 million people in Iraq and Syria, and through loyal local groups, has control over small areas of Libya.” Nigeria and Afghanistan. The group also operates or has affiliates in other parts of the world, including North Africa and South Asia.

There appears to be no viable solution to the problem of ISIS or ISIL, yet every politician in every nation of the world has his or her own purported plan for eliminating this threat to civilization by this terrorist scheme.

Actually, I do love Paris! It is my favorite City.

People ask why, and it is very simple for me to tell them and very difficult for them to understand.

I love the ambiance, I love the many flavors of Parisians, I love the atmosphere, I love the sight of Paris, I love the sound of Paris, and I love the smell of Paris.

So what do you especially like, they say? And I say, I especially like Paris because it’s Paris!

And, I take the terrorist attack of Paris personally; I weep for Paris.

Now I am a free spirit; and admittedly my free spirit carries over to politics and I am the butt of criticism from both Republicans and Democrats because of it.

Further, for some unknown reason to me, too many American political nuts hate France, they condemn France, and this infuriates me because they know nothing about France; they are ignorant.

My ancestors fought in the Revolutionary war and I am proud of them. A French General Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette also fought with them for American Independence and the United States of America would not exist if it had not been for the French Marquis de Lafayette; I learned this in grade school.

And my relatives never forgot; when my Uncle Roy Moore arrived in France to fight with the French in World War I, he and his comrades arrived shouting, “Lafayette, we are here!” And my Uncle Roy died in France and, once when I was in France, I visited the Place where he died because I wanted to honor him.

One of the things that is fascinating about Paris, as I said, is the many flavors of Parisians. I sit at an outdoor bar and watch for hours, the many different kinds of people go by, Africans, Arabs, Asians, and beautiful women, knowing that though they are very different, they are all Parisians. They live in Paris together in harmony, despite differences. I love it, I’m democratic like Paris is.

And protests? There are protest every day in Paris and they are huge, they are fervent protesters with a cause, and they are peaceful respecting the democratic flavor of Paris, and French ‘equality, fraternity, and liberty’.

Now Paris has been attacked by Mid-Eastern terrorists who have absolutely no apparent reason to attack Paris; and terrorist do not attack without reason. So, before you are critical of anyone for cause of the attack, you must first know the reason for their attack. So think before you open your big mouth.

There is a large population of Mid-Eastern people (Arabs) in Paris, I’ve been in the Arab Arrondissement and appreciated the Arab culture; these ‘Arabs’ in Paris are Parisians and love Paris as I do. It is their home, most have lived in Paris peaceably, all their lives. They are victims of the terrorist attack on Paris and they are not the cause!

So when you look for a cause for the Paris Terrorist Attack, ask the attackers, who are basically all dead; but they will have left a note. Terrorist always have a cause and leave a note.

For comparison, look for the cause of the terrorist bin Laden’s attack on American on September 11, 2001. Why did bin Laden attack America? Was the Paris attack also, for part of the same reason as the bin Laden attack on America?

Already, one American political pundit has blamed my American President Obama for the Parisian attack, because President Obama has failed to eliminate ISIS for its sadistic devastation in the Mid-East; there is no possible way President Obama could eliminate ISIS or prevent the terrorist attack on Paris.

When I objected to blaming President Obama, I was criticized for my politics in objecting.

As I explained, I am a political free spirit and here is a litany of my free spirit politics:

I opposed the Viet Nam War, 1962-1963 because America was neither threatened by Viet Nam, nor did America have a political interest in the sovereign State of Viet Nam.

I opposed ‘Desert Storm’, 1991, and opposed invading Iraq and establishing a military base in Saudi Arabian Muslim Holy Land and defiling Muslim Holy Land because America was not threatened and had no political interest in Iraq or Kuwait.

I opposed America’s invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, because Afghanistan was not a threat to America and, the People and the sovereign State of Afghanistan had absolutely nothing to do with the terrorist attack on America by the Saudi Arabian terrorist bin Laden.

I opposed the Invasion of Iraq in 2003 because Iraq posed absolutely no threat to America and, I oppose all Members of Congress of both political parties, who voted for the ‘Invasion of Iraq Resolution’; there are no excuses.

I oppose any American ‘Holy Wars’ against Muslims or any other religion; Muslims are not an enemy of the United States of America and some Muslims are patriotic Americans.

In conclusion, I have to mention something very important is this context, the Sovereign State of France agreed with me in regard to opposing the American Invasion of Iraq and refused to join and support America’s Invasion, occupation, and devastation of Iraq in 2003!

My heart goes out to Paris during this time of grief, and I stand behind my President Obama’s offer to come to the aid of Paris in regard to the terrorist attack on Paris.

Lafayette, we are here!
